Al Bayt Stadium

A unique Qatari stadium, rivaling the best stadiums in the world
Al Bayt Stadium has been chosen to host the opening match of the FIFA World Cup 2022™ since its first sketch. Qatar depended on its rich culture to welcome the world, Qatar has invited visitors to enjoy the comfort that this part of the world has been providing to its guests for centuries.

Inspired by Bayt AlSha’ar or the poetry tent of Qatar’s nomadic people, the stadium’s magnificent tent structure envelopes an ultra-modern football stadium.

Sustainability was paramount in Al Bayt Stadium's development and the upper tier was designed to be removed after the tournament – ​​allowing the recommissioning of seats.

It is located in Al Khor city where the numerous parks, lakes, and protected greenbelt land stretch out from the stadium to the sea.

Al Thumama Stadium’s circular design mimics the shape of the Qahfiya, the name of the traditional hat worn by men and children throughout the Arab world.

Innovation at the heart of it all

it is Constructed entirely from shipping containers and modular steel, it is the first fully demountable covered football stadium – showing Qatar’s commitment to cost-effective sustainability and daring design.   
974 is the international dialing code for Qatar, but it is also the exact number of shipping containers used in construction. Situated in the portside area and in sight of Doha’s coastal cityscape.
After the tournament, the containers and superstructure will be reused. 


Al Janoub Stadium

Al Janoub Stadium is located in the south of Al Wakrah city, one of Qatar's oldest inhabited areas.
The impressive design of this stadium was inspired by the sails of traditional Qatari boats, celebrating Al Wakrah's history as a center for fishing and pearling.
The stadium is surrounded by magnificent gardens with sporting and entertainment facilities
After the tournament, Al Janoub Stadium will be reduced in capacity and seats will be donated to other sporting projects around the world.

The stadium's modern design is in harmony with traditional Islamic architecture. The triangles on the exterior simulate intricate, diamond-like geometric patterns that radiate and sparkle according to the movement of the sun. At night, the facade is illuminated with distinctive lights to give fans the opportunity to see a very impressive artistic performance.

Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium

Khalifa International Stadium has hosted a long list of historical sporting events since its launch in 1976. When it reopened in May 2017, the stadium hosted the Emir Cup Final

After the final of the event, and in line with Qatar's keenness on sustainable development, Lusail Stadium will be transformed into a community destination with schools, shops, cafes, sports, and health clinics.
